OMEGA

It started off as a simple sketch. The Omega Tabletop Fireburner came into this world not as a center piece for a table but rather, the actual table itself. We quickly realized this shape was impractical for a plethora of reasons as a table; it did however lend itself beautifully as a Table Top Fireburner. So the concept was revisited and the size was shrunk down to fit our chrome cup and voila! A bent tube that kept rolling over in every simulation we did.

We realized if this concept was going to move forward, certain adjustments needed to be made, for example, it needed to be able to hold fuel without spilling it everywhere.

The solution was quite obvious once we created the 3D model, simply extend the legs outwards. We knew that this could work in theory, but for some reason the model looked as though it would still tip easily. Even though we were not 100% convinced the concept was stable, we went ahead and produced two prototypes to test our theory out.

After two days of holding our breath, the bent steel Omegas showed up at our door. Within seconds the team had them on the table and fitted with the Chrome Cup. After several minutes of bumping, pushing and shaking, it was clear that Omega could hold its ground.

Like all concepts, a few minor adjustments needed to be made before it was ready for final production. Our team even sprayed painted one of the models to see if a matte finish would look nicer than a gloss. It didn’t…

The Idea behind the Omega was to emulate the clean lines of our NUVO and VOLUTION. Omega’s gentle curves house our Chrome Cup perfectly to simulate a floating flame.

Because of its “Signature Series” status Omega is only available online, priced at $45.50 , nearly half the cost of the next closest table top burner.
